ITALIAN LEATHER TECHNOLOGY

A little step towards a better environment

We often think that our actions in defense of the environment is most of the times useless, since the problem is so huge an complex. Actually we can and must do something about it: if each of us contributes, in his own little way and with his own possibilities, the final result can be surprising.

FGL International has always been committed in finding "green" products that can make tanned leathers "eco-friendly"; its continuous R&D activity never loses sight of this very important target (Releasys®, the Zero Line, the new ranges of dyes Valanil, Valalux and Valasoft and now the newly developed Valasolid line, are just some of the results of our research).

Besides these daily activities, carried out in its laboratories, FGL International supports the worldwide Research activities related to this very important matters also by taking part and illustrating the results of its studies in many international conferences, where environmental protection is the main object of study (the next conference will be IULTCS 2019). FGL International also joined the Program Zero Discharge of Hazardous Chemicals (ZDHC), supporting the mission of the program for the use of sustainable chemicals and for best practices in the chemical/tanning sector to protect consumers, workers and environment. Moreover, it is a member in various associations such as Leather Naturally.

In our company we have thought of one other effort that gives a further contribution in trying to reduce the use of plastic : each employee will receive a free reusable  glass water bottle that will replace the use of plastic bottles and a water dispenser will be placed on each floor of the company .

This is just a little step to reduce the use of materials that are very dangerous for the health of the planet.

There are many testimonials, running now on web, on TV and on social media, which show that this problem needs immediate solutions : FGL International is always very much committed in fighting for a better world, limiting the use of polluting products.
